90% of masts today are made of aluminium. Besides aluminium, there are also classic wooden masts and the carbon mast has been becoming increasingly popular, also with cruisers. TUNED can deliver rigs in any of these materials.

A new series was introduced in 2002 in which the lateral stiffness of the masts has been greatly increased. The masts are also suitable for the MDS system for batten cars, which eradicates the need for an external track and bearings, making for easy hoisting of the main sail. Booms can be fitted with the Single Line reefing system, making reefing from the cockpit easy. Seldén also manufactures furling reefs (Furlex), boom supports (Rodkick) and (carbon) spinnaker poles, guaranteeing we can meet any of your needs.

From 2005 Seldén will also manufacture carbon masts with the same value for money as the present aluminium masts.
