Every rig needs regular inspection, this is especially vital before and during long voyages.
During an inspection, attention is not only paid to the mast and all the details of the rig but also to deck hardware and winches. Stays and halyards receive an ocular inspection and are judged on quality and aging. The spars and mounted hardware are tested on operation and fitting. Lights and wiring are inspected and can be tested. The results of the inspection will be sent to you, including advice and a summary of corresponding costs and prices.
The ideal time for a check-up is in the autumn. The rig has been used for the sailing season so traces of wear and tear are at their most apparent. In the winter there is then sufficient time should thorough maintenance and/or new parts be necessary.
