A large vessel, a small crew, time-saving and a dislike of the fore deck in high waves are all good reasons to consider a furling system for mainsail or headsail.

For headsails, TUNED supplies Furlex, Harken and Reckmann jib furling and reefing systems, made to measure for you vessel. Electronically powered systems come from Bamar. The systems can mounted in one day in your berth and the measurements can be sent straight to your sail maker. The operation of the reef line is considered during assembly, thus avoiding extra costs later and ensuring optimal performance straight away.

TUNED has two good possibilities for those who wish to have furling main sails.

• the mast is replaced by a Seldén furling mast
• the boom is replaced by a Leisurefurl furling boom

Both options have been thoroughly tested and are considered safe.

If required, TUNED can also supply new sails. We deliver De Vries Sails and North Sails, giving you a wide range of options. Your order is taken by us, so you only have one port of call for all your enquiries. We measure and deliver the sails in collaboration with the sail makers and take care of the technical details. This avoids misunderstandings as well dramatically decreasing delivery time.

Externally attached furling systems for reefing the mainsail also exist, we are however not fully convinced of the reliability of these systems.
